Share a short description about your company:
How does your current role allow you to make a difference to the education and learning space?
In 4 years we've introduced 30 million kids to computer science, 53% of whom are girls. We're also very active in the CSforAll and related movements. EVERYONE can code!
What are the key trends you believe have the power to transform the way we learn?
Why is it important for all players in the EdTech ecosystem to continuously connect, network and learn from each other?
Nothing is taught in a vacuum and we need to make sure basic needs are being met so kids can thrive. Only when kids are happy and healthy, learning is connected to future problem solving and best practices are constantly being updated will we really be delivering on the full promise of a modern education.
What should the rest of the world learn about EdTech innovation in your country?
In the US we've been forced to be creative about business models in order to bring innovation to market. This makes us both part of the system as well as disruptors to it. I think the idea of respecting the needs of the teacher while not assuming the old way is the right way is something US EdTech companies generally do well.
I'm very excited to connect with thoughtful and innovative colleagues from Europe and the rest of the world! There is always more to learn on the entrepreneur's journey.
