CodeMonkey is a leading global provider of online game and project based Computer Science courses for K-12. Over 8,000,000 students have learned to code with CodeMonkey at it was chosen and successfully implemented by hundreds of schools, school districts, after school programs and ministries of education all over the world. Started in Tel Aviv in 2014 and acquired in Beijing in 2018.

How does your current role allow you to make a difference to the education and learning space?

As the CEO of CodeMonkey I'm presented daily with the challenge of scaling computer science education in different kinds of education systems all over the globe. By building the right partnerships that are required to remove the special barriers in each scenario we able to act as a key enabler of social mobility through K-12 education.

What are the key trends you believe have the power to transform the way we learn?

Self paced and personalised learning. Game and project based learning. SEL.

Why is it important for all players in the EdTech ecosystem to continuously connect, network and learn from each other?

Keys to to solving the important and complex challenges in education often require interdisciplinary collaboration and learning from successful and failed attempts of solving similar challenges in other places.

What should the rest of the world learn about EdTech innovation in your country?
 
The way Israel quickly scaled successful exposure of 75% (!) of its K-8 students to real (text-based) coding.
