How does your current role allow you to make a difference to the education and learning space?

As a faculty member in the School of Health Sciences, I am fortunate enough to spend most of my time challenging and inspiring future leaders in healthcare within immersive and diverse learning spaces.

What are the key trends you believe have the power to transform the way we learn?

Adaptive, immersive and dynamic learning environments which are learner centric will lead the path to transforming not only how we learn, but also how we think. We must strive to understand the learner's perspective and engage learners to want to continuously learn throughout their careers.

Why is it important for all players in the EdTech ecosystem to continuously connect, network and learn from each other?

Innovation and the evolution of educational technology would be non-existent without collaboration and the ability to share knowledge. We emphasize the importance of life-long learning to our higher education students, however, it is also our responsibility as influencers to constantly learn and improve our own understanding of what will most impact learning in the future.

What should the rest of the world learn about EdTech innovation in your country?

Canada has successfully adopted, developed and lead the way in several aspects of educational technology while still maintaining one of the most rigorous privacy laws globally.
