How does your current role allow you to make a difference to the education and learning space?

Learning is lifelong. At School of Disruption we focus on preparing organisations and institutions for the future of work. We retrofit companies to becoming Exponential Organisations ('ExO') - those with an impact 10x larger than their peers because of the use of new organisational techniques that leverage emerging technologies.

What are the key trends you believe have the power to transform the way we learn?

If there would be one, I'd say the role of AI in providing personalised (1:1) learning anytime, anywhere.
Long-term, I'd pay attention to emerging technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality and brain-computer interfaces (instant learning, anyone?) for enhancing our learning experience.

.

Why is it important for all players in the EdTech ecosystem to continuously connect, network and learn from each other?

Co-innovation is the only way forward. The acceleration of digital and emerging technologies requires us to be more agile and collaborative in order to disrupt instead of being disrupted. The power of the network will enable us to more easily (and early) detect weak signals in the industry.

What should the rest of the world learn about EdTech innovation in your country?

Startups such as DataCamp help put Belgium on the map, but more fertile ground needs to be build in order to boost innovation.

When you think about joining London EdTech Week and EdTechXEurope Summit this year, what are you looking forward to?

To broaden my own perspective and connect with a passionate community of EdTech aficionados.

Who would you like to meet at the event?

Those driven to 10X their organisations impact.
